Fantastic Customer Service from Enterprise Car Rental in Portland, OR

I had the pleasant experience of speaking with Hannah at one of the Portland, OR Enterprise offices (503 230-1212) and she went overboard to help me book a car for an upcoming trip. She even referred me to a local office nearer my hotel in Portland and Nick (423 NE 102nd AVE) was also very helpful in arranging my vehicle and transportation to and from my hotel. Kudos! It is refreshing to experience “over the top” customer service!

Just returned from NC mountains- wow- one county nearby has 250 “Named” waterfalls- imagine how many not named!

There are several condos up there to serve as a base for exploring, golfing, fishing, etc- and WE LOVE CONDOS! Our condo had a waterfall and stream right outside our sliding doors in our living room, dining room and bedroom- talk about “white noise” lulling us to sleep each night (yes, you can actually leave your windows/sliding doors open at night). I haven’t slept that well in a long time-

Who Says Children Don’t Get Travel?

Our son and family came to visit us in Florida when our oldest Grandson was 3 and 1/2 years old. When they crossed the state line they made a big deal out of being in Florida but our grandson wasn’t impressed. As they got out of the car at our condo at the beach, our grandson stood there looking at the palm trees and ocean and said “Ahh, Florida”- I think he “got it”.

Condos Have Saved Us $$$$$$$$$$

Any of you who have kids, especially teenage boys, can relate:  we have literally saved tens of thousands of $ by staying in condos rather than hotels over the years.  Why?  Because WE DON’T HAVE TO FEED THEM IN RESTAURANTS ALL THE TIME- they eat like HORSES! Every meal we could prepare in a kitchen saved Big Bucks- and we have done it since 1982 (our grandkids are starting to develop the same behavior- Eating Like Horses).  More later- M
